About the team:
Fraud Fusion Engineering and Data Science team maintains a systematic, proactive process for identification of fraud trends, assessment, and correction of actual and potential loss exposures throughout FIS to minimize unintended impact and potential costs from unmitigated business risks while enhancing customer and corporate value. They build out the Fraud Fusion technology to support real-time capabilities to mitigate fraud within the payment ecosystem, by working alongside internal and external partners. They support Fraud Fusion Operations, Financial Crimes team, and other internal partnerships within the line of business or technology.
What you will be doing:
FIS is looking to hire an experienced Splunk Administrator for our Splunk Security (Fraud Fusion) team. A great candidate will have 3+ years of Splunk Administration experience in a clustered environment, have certifications, and possess strong IT generalist skills including working knowledge of unix systems and working knowledge of network connectivity. Our admins have a forward-thinking mindset and balance our day-to-day tasks of data onboarding, administration, and front end tasks with scaling the environment for a growing userbase and improving process for admins and end-users.
FIS is looking to hire an experienced Splunk Administrator for our Splunk Security (Fraud Fusion) team.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role :
• Administers, maintains and upgrades a Splunk cluster for monitoring Security and Fraud events.
• Assesses system health and stability, making conf changes to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Monitors usage and performance of user searches.
• Assists users with SPL questions, access/permission issues.
• Troubleshoots forwarder, server, config, and OS issues.
• Assists with recommending, scheduling and validating OS patches and Splunk upgrades.
• Onboard new data from a variety of different inputs including syslog, HEC, UF, HF, DB Connect.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Splunk Certified Administrator or Splunk Certified Enterprise Security Administrator
Would consider a Splunk Certified Power User with some backend administration experience.
Added bonus if you have:
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware
• Knowledge of storage management, TCP/IP, network monitoring and tools and technical writing principles and practices
• Effective analytical, problem solving, installation and maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public
