Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Senior in Owings Mills, MD to develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment or software. Communicate with clients on software applications. Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements or necessary modifications. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on software application. Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documenting work and results. Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and external audiences. Design, develop, integrate, and implement technology solutions using Oracle ERP technical architecture, data modelling, tools (BI Publisher, JDeveloper, Forms) to solve business problems using Informatica PowerCenter Provide functional and technical skills to successfully implement leading ERP software solutions. Investigate, analyze, and evaluate feasibility for business and develop cost benefit estimates. Provide technical guidance to IT managers and maintaining technical expertise in multiple applications.  

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology and Communication Technology, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: designing, developing, integrating, and implementing technology solutions using Oracle ERP technical architecture; utilizing technologies including PL/SQL, and Shell Scripting; utilizing programming languages including Unix and SQL; working with data processing tools including Informatica PowerCenter; and performing applications implementation utilizing Oracle tools, XML, and interfacing technologies. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
